SoundCloud describes themselves as a site that "lets you move music fast & easy. The platform takes the daily hassle out of receiving, sharing & distributing music for artists, record labels & other music professionals." But it's for the layperson/ laystudent as well!

How do I get started?
Just head on over to soundcloud.com and hit 'sign up'. It takes less than five minutes. The site also provides a short tour that is very useful for newcomers.
How our class has used SoundCloud:
Leann Lowry used SoundCloud to add audio files to her blog.
Jake Corkin wrote about some uses of SoundCloud and used it himself to share a song he created with GarageBand.
