Dropbox

Do you own multiple computers? Do you have different files on your laptop, desktop, phone, etc? Isn't it annoying trying to find a certain file when you can't remember which computer you saved it on? Would you like to be able to access your files from all your computers, AND from any computer through the internet? Well look no further, because Dropbox is the tool for you. Dropbox gives you the ability to save files to an internet "dropbox" which then shows up on all your computers, as well as any computer that you log onto Dropbox.com with. It is a fantastic tool for organizing all the computer information you have into one central place. There is no more need of having multiple memory sticks, or sending E-mails to yourself; Dropbox makes it all easy.

How do I get started? Head on over to dropbox.com and click on the big "Download Dropbox" button on the middle of the screen. Follow the step by step instructions, and you will be good to go!

How has our class used Dropbox? Many of the students in our class have found Dropbox to be extremely useful in organizing all of their computer files into one central place. For example, Danny Patterson has written a blog post explaining the benefits of Dropbox http://pucksonice.blogspot.com/2010/09/dropbox.html
